I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos. The display itself is huge (compared to my old 19” 940N anyway). Not bad at all, considering the product info states a DVI cable is optional extra. After taking it home and marvelling at the size of the box, I unpacked the monitor. Praying there is someone here who can figure out the secret to make this work.So I just got my new 24” BenQ G2400W monitor from ScorpTec for a lovely $555. They recommended reaching out to Microsoft for assistance, which led me here. They were clearly constrained by not being familiar with the Windows OS.

I had already talked with the Apple support team (and Dell support team) and they didn't have a solution. It is definitely designed for Mac products, but many users seem to have success using it with the DP to Mini DP adapter and Windows 10. I need to use two monitors for my work and would like to make use of the Apple Cinema Display monitor since I don't have room to add a third monitor on my desk. I use the monitor for photo editing on my MacBook Pro laptop. The only resolution option available using the Display Resolution setting has been1280 x 720. I'm using a Dell Latitude 5500 laptop with a WD19TB docking station (connecting via a DisplayPort connection on the docking station). If the issue persists, then you may want to check with the Apple support team. In this case, we would suggest you to check, if you are able to change the resolution in Windows Settings > System > Display > Display Resolution. But you are using a Windows 10 operating system and that could be a concern. We also noticed in the article that System Requirements are Mac with Mini DisplayPort connector & Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later. What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)ĭoes it happen from the beginning or did you observe any changes on the PC?Īs per Technical specification article from Apple, the supported resolutions are 2560 by 1440 pixels, 1920 by 1080 pixels, 1280 by 720 pixels: LED Cinema Display (27-inch) - Technical Specifications
